Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 3

So today we woke up really early! We actually had wait after eating so that it would get light so we could go to Cadillac Ranch.

But it did get light so we packed up and left for Cadillac Ranch.

Then after that we drove some more. Then we made it into New Mexico!

Once we got into Albuquerque we went on the Sandia Tramway!

We even saw some cacti!

Then we drove to Grant's, went to Wal*Mart, ate at Denney's, and now we're at the hotel. So it's been a pretty good day. =)

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 2

Hello again!

Yesterday we traveled from Springfield, Illinois to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

We started out with our first official Wal*Mart trip. (William's pointing to Missouri on his shirt)

After that it was time to go back to the Bass Pro Shop!...

I found these really cute flamingo bobble-heads.

After the Bass Pro Shop we drove...

Then we stopped at the Oklahoma Welcome Center once we crossed into the state.

There we got a map of fun stuff on Route 66. We decided to go to this fast food place that has been there since the '60s. We got there and it was closed for medical leave and would be opened on Thursday. It's called Waylan's Ku-Ku Burgar. Here's what it looks like.

Here's where we actually ate.

(William's pointing to Oklahoma on his shirt)

It was this really good Mexican restaurant.

Then we drove some more until we got to this big oil rigger.

Then after that we drove more then found a place to stay. And of course got lost finding somewhere to eat, so we just had McDonalds.

Then today after we woke up and ate breakfast we back-tracked about 15 miles to go see Pops in Arkadia, OK. It was very cool! It's this huge pop bottle made of neon lights. Then inside the shop is pretty much every kind of pop known to man kind.

There was this cute little place to eat inside too.

This is the pop I got. It's butterscotch rootbeer. =)

Cheers!

Then we drove some more. We went to this really neat museum called the National Rout 66 Museum in Elk City, OK.

After that we drove more and finally made it into Texas!

We went to this really nice welcome center. It is so windy in Texas! And there were these yellow grasshoppers all over the place! But the view was amazing. You could literally see for miles!

So that was our yesterday and today!
