Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 10

So today we drove a lot more!

We started the day in Salina, Kansas and we're now staying the night just a little east of Saint Louis, Missouri.

When we passed through Saint Louis we, of course, got to see the arch. I mean how could you not see that?!




Then we went to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory.





It was delicious!!!

So we'll stay here the night then drive the rest of the way home tomorrow! =)

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 9

So today wasn't very exciting...

We woke up and ate breakfast then packed up.

We decided to go ahead and drive some. We drove a lot and now we're in Salina, Kansas. We haven't had any problems with our car so we'll probably keep driving tomorrow too. =)

You don't really realize how flat and long and boring Kansas is until you drive through it. But I'm glad we're getting closer to home!

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 8

So today we left the hotel just like the other days. Except by the time we got to Frisco, Colorado our car was having problems again... We don't know what's wrong with it so we'll either stay here in Dillon, Colorado until Tuesday when the GMC dealership opens back up or we'll try to make it to Denver then get it worked on there.

Once again we did see really pretty sights though!

We went through like three tunnels.



We saw the Colorado River a bunch of different places.



Then we went to this really nice little rest stop with a cool gift shop. The Eagle River ran right beside it.







Once we got to the hotel we had plenty of time so we swam, then went Ruby Tuesday, then just relaxed! So it was pretty fun. =)

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 7

So today pretty much all we did was drive...

We did see some beautiful sights and mountains though!












So we are now in Fruita, Colorado.

After we dropped our stuff off at the hotel we went to Kroger to get snacks and water. Then we went to this REALLY GOOD Mexican restaurant! After we got back to the hotel we went to the pool/hot-tub! Then we played Farkle and ate Peanut M&M's then watched T.V.

So today was pretty good since we got across a pretty long state!

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 6

Today we woke up at around 4:30 so that we could catch the shuttle bus out to watch the sunrise.

I don't know if I liked the sunrise or sunset better. They were both amazing but in different ways. These pictures just don't do any of the canyon justice.















After that we packed up and headed out for Las Vegas.

But first we stopped at the Hoover Dam.




Then we finally made it to Vegas.

Josh wanted me to get a picture of this so here you go buddy!

Then we left Las Vegas and headed to Utah. We ate Godfathers Pizza for supper then found a hotel then swam then came back to the room and watched T.V.

Today was pretty cool too. =)

Grand Canyon Trip -- Part 5

Sorry I didn’t do a blog last night, but we stayed in the park and they don’t have Wi-Fi. So I’m going to do yesterday’s today and today’s tonight. Sorry if that’s confusing but here it goes…

Today, after we left the hotel, we started heading to the Grand Canyon!

When we got there we drove into the park. After driving a while we caught little glimpses of the top of the rim above the trees. We parked the car on the side of the road and walked on this little trail to the rim… It took my breath away! I’ve never seen anything like it!

























I made some more friends too!








Then we ate lunch at the Bright Angel Lodge.




Then we went to our room for a little while. On our way back to the Canyon we saw deer on the side of the road.



Then we got back to the Canyon! We decided to take the shuttle bus. We stopped at a few different places and it ended in Hermit’s Rest.










And this is part of Hermit’s Rest.



Then we took the shuttle about half way back to watch the sunset.












Then when we got back on the shuttle bus to go back it was so PACKED because everyone was coming back then.





But we finally made it back to our room. =)

So today was amazing!

And now that I’ve bored you with a bazillion pictures I’ll end this blog! =)
